The Global Privacy Assembly (GPA) Executive Committee is excited to announce details about the 48th GPA Annual Conference. This year’s event will be co-located in Brussels, with the IAPP Europe Congress 2026, offering an exceptional opportunity for global privacy and data protection professionals to connect, learn, and collaborate.

Closed Session (GPA members and official observers only)

- Strategic discussions on GPA direction and priorities
- Updates from GPA Chair, Executive Committee, members, and working groups
- Planning future GPA initiatives and new strategic plan
- GPA Awards ceremony
Open Programme
November 18 and 19, 2026

The GPA will organize a GPA Open Programme as part of the IAPP Europe Congress 2026. Closed Session participants will have access to this, and the entire programme of the IAPP Europe Congress 2026. This will include:
- Keynote speeches from international privacy leaders
- Panel discussions and breakout sessions on emerging privacy trends
- Opportunities to connect, learn, and engage with international colleagues
Registration
Each person attending from a member delegation must complete a registration.
Registration is a two-step process.
Step 1:
Registration is being managed by IAPP and requires a MyIAPP account (if you do not have one, you must first create your MyIAPP account).
Use the exclusive GPA Member link sent to you via email by the Secretariat to complete the first step of the process.
You can also find the link available on the Members Access SharePoint here. This registration process is for GPA Members only.
Step 2:
Following the completion of Step 1, you will soon receive an email form the European Commissioner to register for a VPASS*. This security protocol is required to access the Closed Session venue and MUST BE COMPLETED by September 30, 2026.
*You may not receive this email right away. Your registration must be verified and your information provided to the European Commission. You should receive it within two weeks of completing Step 1. Conference fees
The conference fees are based on the GPA Membership tiers associated with your Membership fees. If you are uncertain which tier you should be paying, please contact the GPA Secretariat ([email protected]) for confirmation.
If you do not select the correct tier, your registration may be cancelled and you may be asked to register again.
The following conference fees are for the GPA Closed Session and include full access to the IAPP Europe Congress, including the GPA Open Programme at no additional cost. During the registration process, you will be asked to confirm if you will attend the IAPP Europe Congress on November 18 and 19, 2026.

GPA Observers
Due to room capacity, a limited number of spaces will be made available for GPA Observers. Observers who wish to attend the GPA Closed Session should email the GPA Secretariat ([email protected]) to confirm their interest. Interested GPA Observers will be contacted at a later date with registration details.
